TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of Casselman passed By-law No. 2024-37 to amend By-law 2023-032 to establish development charges for Water Services and By-law 2023-033 to establish development charges for Wastewater Services on the 27th day of August, 2024 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended;
As per the Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024 (Bill 185), which amended the Development Charges Act, 1997, the mandatory phase-in of rates can be removed by amendment to the by-law(s), with the passage of an amending by-law.
The revised schedule of development charges imposed by the by-law, which came into effect on August 28, 2024, is as follows:
