Last night, the Casselman Town Council awarded the Key to the City for the first time. Casselman native Dyane Adam is the first recipient of the Key to the City of Casselman. The key was presented to Ms. Adam as part of the Municipality's new community recognition policy. Her work as the first Chair of the Board of Governors of the Université de l’Ontario français in Toronto and former Commissioner of Official Languages was highlighted during a reception held in her honor.
The Key to the City is the highest distinction in Casselman. It may be awarded to individuals or organizations that have made remarkable contributions to the community, whether at the national or international level.
