The Municipality of Casselman is currently seeking applications to fill positions for On-Call Firefighters.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(To be explained during the information session)
- Be physically fit
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be a resident on the territory covered by the Casselman Fire Department and remain a resident as long as he/she holds a position of On-Call Firefighter;
- Must obtain a “DZ” driver’s license within the first year of employment;
- Successfully complete a written test, a physical test and an interview;
- Has completed secondary education or equivalent experience;
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written);
- On-call firefighters hired by the Casselman Fire Department will have to successfully complete NFPA 1001 certification within the prescribed time frame if he/she is to maintain his/her position with the fire department.
The successful candidates chosen for the positions will be on probation for a period of one (1) year.
