Making an access to information request

Many documents held by public institutions can be accessed without submitting a request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act or the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Contact the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Coordinator of the institution holding the records to find out if you need to make a formal request.

If you wish to file an information access request, complete, sign and date the Information Access Request Form and mail it or present it in person at City Hall, along with the $5 initial application fee.
